Odisha CM Majhi announces free and universal education from kindergarten to post-graduate levels in all government institutions.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has announced a revolutionary education policy providing completely free education from KG to PG in all government institutions across the state. This encompasses both undergraduate and postgraduate education, eliminating financial barriers for students. The policy also includes the Chief Minister Annapurna Yojana where beneficiaries of National Food Security Act and State Food Security Scheme receive additional 5 kg rice monthly. This is among India's most progressive education policies aimed at inclusive development. The initiative addresses educational inequality and aims to strengthen youth development and long-term state development. This is significant for UPSC candidates studying educational policies, welfare schemes, and state-level social welfare initiatives.
