Astrophysicist Annapurni Subramaniam Receives Vikram Sarabhai Medal

Renowned astrophysicist Prof. Annapurni Subramaniam has been awarded the prestigious Vikram Sarabhai Medal for her outstanding scientific contributions to space research and astrophysics. She becomes only the fourth Indian scientist to receive this esteemed international honor in space science.

The Vikram Sarabhai Medal is awarded jointly by the Committee on Space Research (COSPAR) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It recognizes exceptional achievements and leadership in space research in developing countries, honoring the legacy of the father of India's space programme.
