MHA Integrates Artificial Intelligence Into Multi-Agency Centre Platform

Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the 9th National Security Strategies Conference in New Delhi, issuing explicit directives to integrate Artificial Intelligence tools into the Multi-Agency Centre platform. The high-level conference convened national security advisors, intelligence heads, and state police chiefs to evaluate internal security frameworks and evolving cross-border technological threats.

The Multi-Agency Centre was established in the aftermath of the 1999 Kargil War based on structural recommendations by the Kargil Review Committee and the subsequent Group of Ministers report. Functioning under the Intelligence Bureau, MAC acts as the country's premier nodal body for real-time intelligence fusion, counter-terrorism sharing, and inter-agency operational coordination.

Integrating AI analytics will allow MAC to process vast streams of unstructured intelligence data gathered across central and state agencies, identifying hidden threat patterns and automating operational workflows. The conference also prioritized counter-measures against cyber-warfare, drone threats along international borders, radicalization campaigns, and financial networks supporting transnational organized crime syndicates.

Internal security modernization is a major area for Civil Services examination preparation.
