CJI Surya Kant Inaugurates First Victim Rights Centre in Bihar

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant launched the first Victim Rights Centre (VRC) in Bihar. Speaking at the launch event, CJI Kant stated that justice must not remain confined to courtroom walls but must proactively reach vulnerable, unheard citizens who struggle to navigate the legal system.

In a separate interaction at CNLU, CJI Kant also defended the confidentiality of Supreme Court Collegium dissents and highlighted child drug abuse as a child protection issue requiring rehabilitation and dignity.
