Permits exempted PF trusts to invest in rupee-denominated bonds of four major global financial institutions.
The Union government has widened the debt investment options available to exempted provident fund establishments. The decision permits these exempted PF trusts to invest in rupee-denominated bonds issued by four major global financial institutions.
This decision brings investment parity between exempted establishments and those directly covered by the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).
By permitting access to rupee-denominated bonds from global financial institutions, exempted trusts obtain expanded options for debt investments.
