Morocco Names Fatima El Mansouri as First Female Prime Minister

King Mohammed VI has officially appointed Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri to form Morocco's next government after the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) won the most seats in the elections. The historic nomination makes her the first woman Prime Minister of Morocco.

Her appointment opens formal coalition talks as the new administration prepares to address pressing domestic economic pressures. Furthermore, the incoming government will oversee national infrastructure and economic preparations for co-hosting the 2030 World Cup.
