The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has registered an FIR under the Anti-Hijacking Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) to investigate a failed hijacking incident involving a flydubai aircraft.
The probe follows an incident on September 30, when the flight's Omani co-pilot, Hamam al-Hammami, stabbed Indian captain Smit Machchhar inside the cockpit.
