Demand reimposition of President’s Rule in Manipur following ethnic violence that killed 32 community members.
Kuki-Zo community organisations have demanded the reimposition of President’s Rule in Manipur to address worsening local conditions. Constitutional governance under President's Rule was previously enforced in the state between February 2025 and February 2026.
According to representations made by community groups, 32 members of the Kuki-Zo community have died in ethnic violence since March. In addition, continuing economic embargoes have severely impacted normal life across Kuki-Zo villages.
