In Brief
Falls to lowest level since 2017 due to FPI selling and large-cap underperformance.
The share of India's top 10 listed blue-chip companies in total market capitalisation has dropped to around 17.65%, reaching its lowest point since 2017.
Market analysts attribute this decline in large-cap concentration to sustained foreign portfolio investor (FPI) selling alongside the prolonged relative underperformance of major large-cap stocks.
