Submits before the National Green Tribunal that thermal power plants must undergo mandatory annual fly ash audits.
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) submitted before the National Green Tribunal (NGT) that all thermal power plants must undergo annual fly ash audits to monitor and manage industrial residue.
The submission was made in response to an NGT directive concerning a petition filed by the Tamil Nadu Fly Ash Brick and Blocks Manufacturers Association. The applicant association had sought legal and operational clarity regarding CPCB’s regulatory mandate in executing regular audits of fly ash generated by thermal power generation facilities.
